Canary Goods — Order Fulfilment & Returns

Canary Goods is a mid-size online retailer. Their order management process has grown organically over three years — roles added without review, tasks duplicated, steps out of sequence. Your job as the Business Analyst is to find every problem, then redesign the process from scratch.

The problem statement The Operations Director has escalated a formal concern. Orders average 6 days to fulfil; returns take 11 days. The same orders are being logged and checked multiple times by different teams with no shared record. Critical steps are either missing or in the wrong sequence. Role names no longer reflect what people actually do. Your task: analyse the as-is process, flag every problem with an explanation, then produce a clean to-be design.
Step 1 — Read the Brief
Understand the scenario. There are at least 8 distinct problems in the as-is process.
Step 2 — Flag Problems
